# Getting started

> How to search the directory, read a listing, and submit a church that is missing.

Use the search on the homepage when you know a church name, a city, or a country. The directory page adds filters for category and country, so you can narrow a long list without starting over.

Open a listing to see the address, phone, and website when the church provided them. Get directions opens a map search for that address. Service times change, so confirm them with the church before you travel.

If a church is not listed, submit it from the directory. Write the name, city, country, and a short description of the congregation. Add a phone, email, or website if you have one.

A submission stays pending until an editor approves it. Pending churches are not searchable and do not appear on the homepage. You will see a confirmation on the form, not a public listing, immediately after you send it.
